About Spontzer
Spontzer is a commercial sponsorship marketplace built for the clubs, events, venues, artists and media owners that the big agencies and platforms tend to overlook. We give rights holders a proper way to present their opportunities and give brands an easy, free way to find them.
Why grassroots sponsorship is underserved
Most of the sponsorship industry is organised around large properties with large audiences, because that is where agencies and established platforms can earn the biggest fees. A grassroots football club, a village festival, an independent music venue or a growing podcast rarely gets that kind of attention, even though each one has something genuinely valuable to offer. These properties often have loyal, local audiences that are hard for brands to reach any other way.
The people running them are usually volunteers or small teams with plenty of other jobs to do, so finding a sponsor tends to mean cold emails, personal favours and a great deal of persistence. On the other side, plenty of local businesses would like to sponsor something in their community but have no simple way of seeing what is available. Spontzer exists to close that gap.
What Spontzer does for rights holders
For rights holders, Spontzer provides a place to list sponsorship opportunities with a detailed digital prospectus, photos and video, and to have those listings actively promoted to a network of brands. Sports clubs and teams, athletes, venues, events and festivals, musicians and bands, and media such as podcasts and newsletters can all present their offer in a way that brands understand quickly. You can see how this works on our page for rights holders.
What Spontzer does for brands
For brands, Spontzer is free to join. Marketing managers and business owners can browse and filter listings, receive notifications of new opportunities and contact rights holders directly, then manage the deal using secure messaging and payment options. When a deal is agreed, the brand pays a 10% success fee on top of the agreed price, and no fee is charged if no deal is agreed. Most of our network is UK based, and we connect brands and properties locally, nationally and internationally.
The principles behind how we work
A few simple principles shape the way Spontzer is built, and they come from thinking about what both sides actually need from a sponsorship marketplace.
- Direct contact. Brands and rights holders talk to each other directly, because sponsorship works best when both sides understand what the other wants.
- Reviewed listings. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, so brands can browse with confidence and rights holders present themselves well.
- Fair, transparent pricing. Rights holders pay a simple subscription and keep the full agreed value of every deal, while brands join free and pay a 10% success fee on top of the agreed price only when a deal is agreed, so part of our income is tied to real results.
We also try to be helpful without overpromising. Spontzer can offer guidance on structuring packages and deals, but the relationship and the terms remain yours, as explained on how Spontzer works.
Commercial sponsorship, made accessible
When we talk about sponsorship, we mean commercial sponsorship: brand partnerships in which a business supports a club, event, venue, artist or media owner in return for exposure and association. At grassroots level that can pay for new kit, cover the cost of a stage or keep a podcast going, and for brands it is one of the most direct ways to show up in a community that matters to them.
Our aim is to make that kind of partnership easier to find and easier to agree, for everyone involved. If you would like to talk to us, you can get in touch through our contact page.
